Surprise Proposal Photographed in New Orleans City Park

Moe sweeps Jeti off her feet in a once-in-a-lifetime Proposal

Moe and Jeti’s relationship has involved a lot of travel. So it only made sense for Moe to pop the question in the destination where their love story began. But since he was planning the surprise proposal from New York, Moe enlisted my help in creating a special moment for Jeti.

I like to include personal touches in proposals whenever possible. Jeti has an instax camera that she takes everywhere with her. She loves taking selfies of Moe and herself together, especially when they are travelling together. Moe told me he had a stack of photos she’d taken and he wanted to include them in the proposal somehow. I asked him to mail them to me and I’d incorporate them into the design of a custom sign for his proposal.

We decided to set up the proposal on the side of a fountain that would be hidden from view when they walk up. So the element of surprise would really be at play when they walked around to the other side of it! My assistant and I arranged 100 red roses on the fountain steps and man- it was such a pretty sight! With the sign in place, the stage was set for a beautiful morning surprise proposal.

Moe and Jeti arrived right on time. Moe walked around the fountain and revealed the decorated steps to an overjoyed Jeti! He gave quite a speech while down on one knee which gave me more than enough time to get a bunch of great shots. As you can see in the photos below, she said yes! This couple was so gorgeous I didn’t want to stop taking photos of them. But I had to say goodbye and send them on their way to brunch and enjoy the warm glow of a proposal done right.
