You may recall the set of images I recently posted of a beautiful high school senior before her senior prom (if you would like a refresher, you can find them here!). After seeing the images I was able to create with her several weeks ago, you can understand my excitement to have been able to work with her again for her Senior Portraits. Casey is a natural beauty with a smile that reflects her sweet nature. She was incredibly easy to work with, laughing through my ridiculous antics behind the camera (yes, I do sing while I shoot!). I got to see a completely different side of Casey than I observed on her prom night. Take away the excitement of prom, the elegant gown, and the friends texting and the girl I photographed was a simply gorgeous, fun, and laid back young woman.
Casey was excited to photograph in the Marigny and Bywater areas of New Orleans which is where her Alma Mater, the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) is located. I liked the idea of photographing her with the eccentric backdrops the Upper Ninth Ward had to offer and I knew we would be able to produce a phenomenal set of images together. We had a great time working together and stumbled upon places to shoot that we hadn’t even planned on using. I loved how go-with-the-flow Casey was, switching gears quickly as we changed our plan based on what we drove by. It was a lot of fun and I am extremely happy with the way her images turned out! The only downside to our shoot was that we had to cut it short. I hope to get an opportunity to work with Casey again soon and this time in her dance wear. I would love to see her in action!
