I first met Sarah with her sister and niece last year when we did a portrait session together in New Orleans’ City Park. I loved the family dynamic between the sisters raising their precocious little one together. Their relationship made for a fun afternoon and beautiful images.
After our shoot, Sarah asked me if I would be interested in shooting her wedding this year at Destrehen Plantation. My answer was an exuberant “yes!”. I already knew that I enjoyed working with Sarah and I was excited to have the chance to photograph her wedding at a gorgeous plantation. I met with Sarah and her fiancé, Edmund, this week for an engagement session. We returned to City Park to enjoy the last moments of cool Spring weather and utilize the versatility of locations the park has to offer. I was happy to have the opportunity to work with both Bride and Groom before their big day. One of the easiest ways for a couple to relax wedding day jitters is to have spent time with their photographer beforehand and it also gives me insight into their style so that I can shape my photography plan for the wedding.
Here are just a few of my favorites from our shoot!
